Mike Jones: Starting Up When the Economy is Down (session 1)
Posted February 6, 2009
Mike Jones, CEO of Tsavo, has extensive experience in ’starting up.’ He’s founded 3 companies, sold 3 companies (one of which was UserPlane to AOL). He’s invested in startups, sat on boards of startups (and even a few mature companies) and he’s seen and lived the up’s and downs to building a valuable venture with minimal resources.
Last time I was in LA, a friend of Mike’s said “get him to talk about bootstrapping! Mike’s the cheapest guy I know!” Well, cheap (or thrifty, I might say) and smart. Mike is brilliant and he knows how to make shiznit happen.
Below is Mike’s PPT from his presentation today at Startonomics. Video will be available next week. Update: Video of Mike’s presentation is being uploaded and will be available today! Check it (and the other videos) out here.
